New OTKs

I just had to jump on the OTK* bandwagon, and these boots were an incredible bargain. £21 for boots? Yes, please. They're micro-suede (made from polyester) so they're cruelty-free as well. I'd love to give you the link of the online shop where I bought them but I think all their pairs are sold out! I nabbed the last size 6. But if they come back in stock, I'll let you know!

I have quite long legs, though, so the boots barely go over my knees, and it's even worse with jeans on. I still like them, though, and they're really comfortable. I know they're quite basic, but I'm thinking of dressing them up (DIY, anyone?)

Did you know Sherin is a boxer? I'm pretending I can box (and kick, apparently), too. Though if you ask her, my boxing skills are rather pathetic...

I'm glad some of commented that you liked my little 'story behind the outfit' blurbs. I often think up stories or personas as I'm getting ready in the mornings, but don't usually share them as I think I might come across as rather mad! (Well, I am rather mad...) Today's persona was 'scorned woman living in an estate in the countryside - husband cheated on her - she pulled on her boots to mount her horse and ride off into the night' <-- don't ask. I think all my university reading has made me a bit wonky in the head.
I realised I never showed you my new gloves! There's some sort of glove-thief operating in my house. I can't find my two pairs of gloves from last winter! I always keep them in the same drawer (or in my coat pockets) and they're missing. Strangely enough, my mum says two of her pairs from last winter are missing, too! Glove gremlins, I'm guessing. Anyway, I had to get these a few weeks ago when it started getting chillier, and I love the frills!

My handbag was sitting the background, and when I finished showing off my boots, it asked why it was renegaded to the back of the room. Sorry, handbag! Here you are, a close-up. It's really roomy and fits the kitchen sink - which is usually what I tote around with me!

I remember in one of my last posts, I mentioned having a very stressful month. It seems like things are getting better, finally. I'm managing my really heavy workload, the university returned my money, and the technology gods must be pleased with me because everything is working again. Now all I need is a camera and I'll be set! I'll try to get one on Friday. Any suggestions? I need something small, around the £200 range (no SLRs for me, I'm afraid). Not too fussy; I just want nice pictures!
