Radar reports that Kate Gosselin's clothing deal with Healthtex is on hold. The clothes are still in Walmart stores but Kate Gosselin is not involved with the project while she focuses on her family and tries to get through her recently filed divorce.
"Our project is on hold while she focuses on her family," Healthtex representative Scott Pryzwansky confirmed to RadarOnline.com.Kate Gosselin gave away one of the Healtex outfits on Rachel Ray earlier this year - see end of this clip. Kate Gosselin's book deal with Christian publisher Zondervan was also recently delayed.
In an appearance on the Rachel Ray Show in May, Gosselin gave audience members a gift bag of treats including DVDs of Jon & Kate Plus 8, copies of her new book, and an adorable dress which Ray described as a "Healthtex outfit [Kate] helped design and create."

Getting the guitar ready (Check out his trousers *thumbs up*)
What more can you say about this man that hasn't been said already? A musical genius, a man with an extraordinary sense of style in his day....I love the Stones post Brian Jones period (1969- present) but I feel they were at their best from '65-'69 leading up to his death. Who knows which direction they would have gone had he stayed healthy and not get replaced by Mick Taylor. Also, unfortunately for him, he was the first of a few musicians to be part in the "27 Club" (this group also includes Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Kurt Colbain).
Aside from playing guitar, piano and the clarinet in his youth, here's a list of instruments he played in his short lived career:
Slide guitar
Sitar
Organ
Marimba
Recorder
Saxophone (not only with the Stones but also for The Beatles' "You Know My Name (Look Up The Number"))
Appalachian
Accordion
Oboe
Harpsichord
Mellotron
Autoharp

Add to myYahoo!Autumn Reeser wears a purple dress with an embellished cut-out neckline to the Hardbat Classic at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. The dress is okay because it works on Autumn. Just lacks a bit of that wow factor, maybe? But those silver strappy heels are fab and ties this whole look together.[Source]

Add to myYahoo!Government officials have warned about increased suicide risk with two popular anti-smoking drugs, Zyban and Chantix. Patients taking those drugs are warned to keep an eye out for depressive thoughts, but were not told to stop taking the drugs.
But officials emphasized that fear should not stop patients from taking the smoking-cessation medicines, Chantix, made by Pfizer, and Zyban, made by GlaxoSmithKline, which also sells it under the brand name Wellbutrin, for depression."Stopping smoking is a goal we should all be working towards," said Dr. Curtis J. Rosebraugh, director of a drug evaluation office at the Food and Drug Administration. "We don't want to scare people off from trying a medication that could help them achieve this goal. You should just be careful."Pfizer will add a so-called black box warning - the F.D.A.'s most serious caution - to the packaging information for Chantix. The FDA received many reports of hostility, anger and suicide attempts in connection with the drugs. Sales are not expected to fall as these reports have been available to physicians for awhile.

Both companies will also be required to conduct clinical trials to assess the mental health risks associated with the drugs' uses. Pfizer is already enrolling schizophrenia patients in a trial.Because smokers and people trying to quit are statistically more likely to be depressed and suicidal, officials for both companies said it was difficult to identify the specific impact of the drugs on those risks. "Nicotine withdrawal itself can be very difficult for people to endure," Dr. Steve Romano, a Pfizer vice president, said Wednesday.

Twiggy, who turns 60 in September, last fronted a TV ad campaign for the Procter & Gamble-owned beauty brand in 1985. At the time the range was known as Oil of Ulay.P&G has signed Twiggy, who most recently appeared in a TV campaign celebrating Marks & Spencer's 125th anniversary, in a one-year deal to promote the Olay Definity range that "goes beyond fighting the appearance of wrinkles".Twiggy has had a very long modeling career and she still looks fabulous, although we don't the photographer did her justice in this ad.

"Some of our consumers will remember Twiggy's first campaign," said Carla Berry, P&G beauty and grooming spokeswoman. "But what is most important is that she is a relevant role model for mature modern women today."

Add to myYahoo! The Globe and Mail has an article that says the H1N1 swine flu is hitting young people especially hard in Canada. The article says two-thirds of Canadians hospitalized and half of those who have died had no underlying health conditions whatsoever. Experts do not yet know why some healthy young people are ending up on ventilators.
Experts do not yet understand why the new strain affects some healthy people so severely, ravaging their lungs with an aggressive pneumonia and forcing them to spend weeks in hospital, attached to breathing machines. The same thing is happening in the U.S. - mostly young people are being hospitalized and dying - although the media does not seem to be covering it as much as they did a couple months ago. A frightening report from Argentina says some people with swine flu are catching a pneumonia that causes their lungs to "burn." The latest U.S. figures from the CDC are over 33,000 cases with 170 deaths. The WHO's worldwide count is over 77,000 cases and 332 deaths. You can find a list of H1N1 resources here.
"They are ending up on ventilators and it can last from weeks to months," said Michael Gardam, director of infectious diseases at the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion. "I would like people to be concerned about H1N1, without panicking. More concerned than they are about seasonal flu."
A new study tracking the epidemic in Mexico also found the flu strain hits those between the ages of 20 and 50 the hardest, with a higher death rate than other age groups.
In recent weeks, as swine flu has faded from the world's radar, infectious disease specialists worry that people have become complacent about the pandemic, which is expected to infect one third of the population, or about 10 million Canadians. (In contrast, seasonal flu affects about one in 10 people.)

LiveScience reports that the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Electronic Nano Systems ENAS has come up with a battery that is printable. The tiny battery is expected to be cheap and easy to mass produce.
"Our goal is to be able to mass produce the batteries at a price of single digit cent range each," said Andreas Willert, of the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Electronic Nano Systems ENAS, where Reinhard Baumann led the battery's development. The tiny batteries could be used to power products like musical greeting cards without the battery being quite as visible.
The battery weighs less than 1 gram and is less than 1 millimeter thick. It runs at 1.5 volts. Placing several in a row can produce up to 6 volts.A standard AAA battery weighs about 11.5 grams and also runs at 1.5 volts. The newly developed battery has a life span more limited than traditional batteries, however.
The battery is composed of different layers: a zinc anode and a manganese cathode, among others. Zinc and manganese react with one another and produce electricity. However, the anode and the cathode layer dissipate gradually during this chemical process. Therefore, the battery is suitable for applications which have a limited life span or a limited power requirement.
