Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga are the new faces of the MAC AIDS Fund. WWD reports that a new campaign will begin late next February called "From Our Lips." Two lipsticks called MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick and Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick will launch in North America next March and retail for $14 each. 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the MAC AIDS Fund.

50 Cent's New Fragrance Ad Revealed

50 Cent is going shirtless in the ad campaign for his new men's fragrance called Power by Fifty Cent. 50 Cent was already a buff guy so he didn't really need much touching up on his physique but it looks like he had Photoshop help with the removal of a tattoo - see the comparison here.

Power is a way of life for hip-hop artist 50 Cent. 50 Cent says "For me, power isn't just something you learn on the street or in the boardroom - it's a way of life."

People says 50 Cent's new fragrance includes notes of lemon leaves, black pepper, coriander and nutmeg.

Toys R Us Launches Special New Moon Sections

Toys R Us is joining Nordstrom, Hot Topic and other retailers in launching special New Moon sections. The Toys R Us New Moon store can be found both online and in the toy retailers bricks-and-mortar locations. It carries action figures, lunch boxes, chip clips, backpacks, wallets and dolls. It also carries throw pillows and games like those pictures above. Toys R Us does not appear to carry the large Edward and Jacob cutouts so they won't have to worry about middle-aged women running off with them, which is what happened at Nordstrom's.

Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin to Co-host 82nd
Academy Awards

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science has announced that Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will serve as co-hosts of the 82nd Academy Awards.

"We think the team of Steve and Alec are the perfect pair of hosts for the Oscars," said Oscar telecast producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman. "Steve will bring the experience of having hosted the show in the past and Alec will be a completely fresh personality for this event."

"I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin," said Martin.

"I don't play the banjo but I'm thrilled to be hosting the Oscars - it's the opportunity of a lifetime," said Baldwin.

There have been multiple hosts for the Oscars before as you can see on this chart. Hugh Jackman was last year's host and he did a terrific job.

Borders Will Ship Out-of-Stock Items Free

Reuters reports that Borders has announced it will ship out-of-stock items for free.

The in-stock guarantee announced on Tuesday applies to books and other items carried on the company's web site. When a customer cannot find an item in a Borders store, the company will ship it to the shopper's home for free.

Borders said it believes the program is the first of its kind in the book industry.

The move comes weeks after an online price war for new titles such as Sarah Palin's upcoming book was sparked by Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Meanwhile, Borders' main rival, Barnes & Noble Inc, brought out its Nook electronic reader to challenge Amazon.com Inc's Kindle.

The graphic that Borders uploaded to its Twitter account, @Borders, says if you can't find it in a Borders store but they have it in-stock at Borders.com then they will ship the book to you for free. The graphic says it applies to thousands of Borders titles.

Vanilla Ice Performs Ice Ice Baby Live on CBS
Early Show

Vanilla Ice's hit song "Ice Ice Baby" was used in a South African beer commercial. Now he's perfoming the 1990 classic live for the CBS Early Show. Vanilla Ice said in an interview that he is still awed by the song's success. He credits Tammy Faye with helping him find himself again. Maggie Rodriguez is clearly a fan. She joined Vanilla Ice on the stage to dance as he finished perfoming. Take a look:

New Store and Website For Ian Falconer's Olivia

Ian Falconer's children's book character is getting more popular thanks to a Nickelodeon tv show called Olivia that debuted earlier this year. Playthings reports that the Olivia merchandise is increasing along with Olivia's rise in popularity.

TysToxBox.com has added an Olivia store in a licensing deal with Chorion. The store sells personalized Olivia t-shirts, books, DVDs and calendars. Chorion has also launched a new website called myolivia.com, which contains online games, printables and activities. Playthings says Spin Master is developing a line of Olivia preschool girl's toys that will debut in fall 2010.

Activision's Band Hero Game Hits Stores

Activision's Band Hero hits stores today. The game from the makers of Guitar Hero is available for the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DSLite. Players can create a band using any combination of multiple guitarists, bassists, drummers and vocalists. Each band can have up to four lead singers. Players can also use the karaoke-style Sing-Along mode. Stars including Taylor Swift and Maroon 5's Adam Levine make appearances in Band Hero as playable characters. "Band Hero takes the critically acclaimed Guitar Hero 5 game features to new heights and delivers the most popular artists into your living room," said Dan Rosensweig, president and chief executive officer of Guitar Hero. "As our first E10+ rated console game, Band Hero will become the new soundtrack to family game night."

The games features songs from artists and bands including Taylor Swift, No Doubt, Lily Allen, The All-American Rejects and Jackson 5. Destructoid notes that Styx "Mr. Roboto" is on the song list. Players can also import select songs from Guitar Hero 5, Guitar Hero Smash Hits and Guitar Hero World Tour.
