They are also selling a Safari Snuggie, deluxe Raditude cd and photo book for $50. The Snuggie-CD combos are available on Weezer's website. Weezer also inserted itself into a Snuggie infomercial. Galactic Suite Space Resort to Open in 2012

Reuters reports that Galactic Suite plans to offer citizens the opportunity to travel to space and stay in an orbiting hotel pod starting in 2012. A three-night stay in the The Galactic Suite Space Resort will cost $4.4 million. This price include an 8-week training period on a tropical island in the

Galactic Suite Ltd, set up in 2007, hopes to start its project with a single pod in orbit 450 km (280 miles) above the earth, traveling at 30,000 km per hour, with the capacity to hold four guests and two astronaut-pilots.

It will take a day and a half to reach the pod - which Claramunt compared to a mountain retreat, with no staff to greet the traveler.

"When the passengers arrive in the rocket, they will join it for 3 days, rocket and capsule. With this we create in the tourist a confidence that he hasn't been abandoned. After 3 days the passenger returns to the transport rocket and returns to earth," he said.

More than 200 people have expressed an interest in traveling to the space hotel and at least 43 people have already reserved.

Virgin Galactic has a competing space tourism project with a spaceport being built on an island in the Caribbean. Construction also began earlier this year on a spaceport in New Mexico called Spaceport America. Virgin will be the anchor tentant for Spaceport America.

Gordon Ramsey, Fox to Launch New Reality Cooking
Show

Variety reports that Fox is expected to order 12-15 episodes of a reality chef series called Masterchef. Gordon Ramsay will co-produce and have a role in the series which is based on an Australian cooking reality show.

Fox is expected to order 12-15 hourlong segs of the series, with production to start in the near future. Fox confirmed that it cinched a deal with Reveille but declined comment on other details.

"Masterchef," owned by Reveille parent Shine Group, has aired on the BBC in various incarnations on and off since 1990. In the series judges winnow a pool of 132 culinary amateurs for the title of Masterchef. An Australian version of the show bowed in April and quickly became a mammoth hit for Network Ten.

The Hollywood Reporter story on the new show says it involves a nationwide search for the best U.S. amateur chef. Auditions are held around the country with finalists competing in cooking challenges on the show.

"This is a huge, nationwide search for the best amateur chef in America," said executive producer Howard T. Owens of Reveille. "It's about people who are lawyers, construction workers and stay-at-home moms but whose real passion is to make great food. This is their shot to prove they have what it takes."

The details for Fox's "MasterChef" are being worked out, but the show will most closely resemble the Australian edition. In each season, contestants from around the country audition by creating a dish for a panel of three judges to earn spots as semi-finalists. The remaining contestants compete each week via team-based and individual cooking challenges until only one remains.

It sounds sort of like a cooking version of American Idol.

New Balloons in 83rd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving
Day Parade

The 83rd annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be held Thursday, November 26, 2009. At 9:00am the parade begins to the sound of Let's Have a Parade. The parade route has changed slightly this year. The 2009 procession will be the first to bypass Broadway. It will begin at 77th Street and Central Park West, travel down to Columbus Circle where it will turn onto Central Park South. Once the Parade reaches 7th Avenue it will turn once more and march down 7th Avenue through Times Square to 42nd Street. At the famed intersection it will turn east to 6th Avenue and begin its final march down the Avenue of the Americas to 34th Street where it will turn towards Macy's flagship and end at 7th Avenue marking a 2.65-mile march.

The parade will include a number of new giant helium balloon this year including:

• Pillsbury Doughboy: The Doughboy balloon will measure 53.7 feet in length, 34.4 feet in width and will be 46.4 feet tall. This Doughboy will rise to the occasion filled with 12,280 cubic feet of helium.
• Ronald McDonald: Ronald has strapped on the world's largest pair of ice skates for a fun-filled holiday activity. Measuring 76.4 feet long, 28.8 feet wide and 48.6 feet tall, Ronald will be inflated with 13,650 cubic feet of helium on Parade day.
• Sailor Mickey: Sailing aboard an anchor that is approximately four times the size of an actual cruise ship anchor, Mickey measures 48.1-feet long, 33.6-feet wide and 60.9-feet tall.
• Spider-Man: On Parade day, the Spider-Man balloon will measure 78-feet long, 37.8-feet wide and 29.1-feet tall and will be filled with 11,800 cubic feet of helium.

Some of this year's floating include Floating Scenes of Magic, a float to recognize local heroes; Santa's Sleigh, a colossal float that measures 60-feet long, 22-feet wide and is 3 1/2 Stories tall; and a Yo Gabba Gabba float starring DJ Lance Rock and the cast of colorful characters, including Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Plex and Toodee.
