Cozy Up in a Fur Collar Cardigan with Guest Blogger Thefind.com
Fall 2009 is all wrapped up in cozy luxe dressing. Fur is a major trend this season. Add just a touch of vintage appeal to your look with a fur collared cardigan. These cozy cardis can be dressed up or down. You can create a look that is sweet and demure or infused with a downtown urban edge. Fur collared cardigans are available in long and belted to short and cropped styles. Many of the collars are detachable, but be sure to remove the fur before washing or dry cleaning.
Distinctly vintage and feminine, Bryan Bradley's Cropped Cardigan, (upper left, $178 at NeimanMarcus.com) is pretty in pink with a brown natural rabbit collar. The pink cardigan is knit of a silk/cashmere blend and three-quarter sleeves. Juicy Couture's Faux-fur Trimmed Wool Cardigan, (right, $280 at Net-a-Porter) is a long belted cardigan. We especially love the puff shoulders which adds a modern twist to this self-belted style. Knit of 100% grey lambswool the sweater fastens with a concealed press-stud fastener at the front. Perfect for stylish recessionistas is a fantastic buy from Target. The Merona Fur-Collar Cardigan (middle left, $18.74) is a cotton/rayon blend with a faux fur collar. This button down style has a tie waist and the collar can be removed. Lastly, from Urban Outfitters is a cropped style featuring a curved single button front and a v-neck faux fur collar. The "Ecote" Cardigan (bottom left, $68 at Urban Outfitters) is a cotton acrylic blend and would pair nicely with a pair of your favorite jeans for a weekend casual look.

Drapers reports that Blacks Leisure, a UK retailer of outdoor equipment, is looking to exit 89 of its 392 stores as it restructures. The deal would save 4,300 jobs if creditors agree to it.
KPMG UK head of restructuring Richard Fleming said: "The proposed CVA gives Blacks the opportunity to preserve 291 trading stores and around 4,300 jobs."Drapers says 75% of the creditors will need to agree to the CVA terms for it to be passed. A creditors' meeting is being held later this month.
He added: "We believe the proposed CVA offers a fair balance between the operational needs of Blacks and the landlords' rights under the tenancy agreements. The total compensation being offered to the landlords is £7.25m, which equates to approximately 6 months rent each. In addition and importantly, given the size of the potential liability, the group will continue to pay rates until the leases are surrendered or forfeited in consultation with landlords."

Touchscreen mobile phone adoption in the U.S. grew at a breakneck 159% rate last year, comScore reports, easily outpacing the 63% growth of the broader smartphone market.Apple dominates the touchscreen smartphone market which is not a surprise since it was the iPhone that ignited the trend to begin with. Data from comScore MobiLens indicates that the Apple iPhone has 32.9% of the market.
By last August, nearly 34 million Americans were carrying smartphones, 23.8 million of them touchscreen devices. And of those touchscreen phones, 32.9% were iPhones.
"The iPhone clearly set the trend in the industry for touchscreen devices, so it's no surprise that it has the largest share of the market," said comScore VP Mark Donovan. "But as other players have entered the touchscreen market with compelling devices, competition is clearly heating up."
