What to Buy Fall 2008: Payless

Payless is a TBF favorite for on-trend shoes that actually last through more than 7 seconds of wear and are actually—dare we say it?—cheap. The big news in shoes this season? Peep toe, Oxfords, Mary Janes, wedges, and flats—and Payless has ‘em all. Here’s what we’re hoping to add to our closet for

Project Runway: Season 5, Episode 7

Bad Mommy is BA-ACK! (Did I do the BA-ACK thing recently? I feel like I did. It all runs together). Unfortunately, she?s just the extra judge, not a fixture on the entire episode, which is unfortunate since she would have been a FANTASTIC critic during Tim?s rounds. On this week?s [...]

Air Jordan Melo M5 - Sneak Peak

LeBron James wasn?t the only one who debuted his new signature shoe at the Olympics. If you played close attention to the Gold Medal game, you would have noticed Carmelo’s halftime wardrobe change. For most of the games he wore the Melo M4 but decided to give the world a sneak peak. Timing couldn?t have been any better.

The Melo M5 was designed by Footwear Design Director of Brand Jordan D?Wayne Edwards, which helps explain its similarities to the Jordan signature line. The same style side panel and exterior stitching like we saw on the Air Jordan XX3 as well as a ribbed plastic piece at the heel similar to the Air Jordan XIV.

Funny Bunny Anna

Who doesn’t like Anna Faris? This girl cracks me up! But I kind of wish she just left her comedic skills at the movies and not sample it on the red carpet. Don’t ever let your pals Krusty or Bozo dress you up again. Have fun but don’t look funny.Rating: 2[Source]

Kate Moss Immortalized in Gold

Photo of gold statue of Kate Moss

Kate Moss has now been immortalized in gold. Marc Quinn, the artist says this is the largest statue made of gold since the time of Ancient Egypt. The statue will be displayed in the British Museum with the Greek goddesses.
The British Museum plans to display a statue of supermodel Kate Moss that it bills as the largest gold statue built since ancient Egypt.Called "Siren," the statue will be part of a group of major sculptures by leading British artists to go on display at the museum in October, the museum announced.

The museum says the artist, Marc Quinn, claims it's the largest gold statue since ancient Egypt. His previous work included the marble sculpture Alison Lapper Pregnant, which appeared on a plinth in London's Trafalgar Square. The Kate Moss statue, weighing 50kg, will be displayed in a gallery of the museum that houses ancient Greek sculpture. The museum calls it a "fitting setting" for the statue of Moss, "interacting with the great Greek beauties that surround it."
Quinn described the statue: "I thought the next thing to do would be to make a sculpture of the person who's the ideal beauty of the moment. But even Kate Moss doesn't live up to the image."The exhibition, entitled Statuephilia, will also feature 200 plastic skulls by Damien Hirst, and runs from October 4 through January 25, 2009.
